Troubles with getting a Boyfriend?

I've never had a boyfriend & I'm 17.. I have some guy friends but they either have girl friends or like someone else...I also do not have true friends either more of like aquitances. I'm afraid that if I get close to people I will lose them...when I like a guy it usually starts out as a small crush and then exalates into an infatuation..I try to get to know the guy & be friendly and nice..I then get totally obsessed with them..calling & texting them..wanting to hang out & chill..be there and care for them.. going head over heels one might say...the relationship then dies and I wilt from sorrow...If you say wait to let them call you first .. That never works 100 percent of the time...cause guys forget...or loose it.. I really don't have much experience.. I don't know the guidelines..I know some guys are pretty shy to make the first move or it takes them a long time to realize that the most caring person is right in front of them..by that time it is to late and that person has moved on.. I hate my high school because I feel like their all these groups & I don't know which one to pick.. I know certain groups never chill with other groups... Like the people are stuck with the same friends all four years...they never see the world.. Or daylight of highschool..I need help finding guys who understand me..I hate being single and an outcast it sucks so bad!!
