I need opinions from girls about Uggs? (if you dont like them dont answer)?

So i know this might sound wierd or strange but I want to get a pair of uggs. I moved from Florida to New York (its cold and raining right now) and alot of guys in my new school wear uggs. Alot of the skater kids like me wear them to skateboard in (the pair they wear is basically really worn) mainly the short kind (i went online and they have them for guys). The girls arround here waer Uggs too and it seems pretty normal for guys to also. Im trying to fit in at a new school and new surroundings and i want to have some friends. The kid next door gave me a pair of his old ugg boots to wear when we skateboarded and let me keep them. I now know why girls love them so much because they really are comfortable and my barefeet didnt sweat at all today. So what i want to know is, Will getting uggs help me be popular in my new school? What uggs should a guy wear? the clic kind of short boots? the mocins? the tasman clogs? Ugg flip flops even? If i was your boyfriend what uggs would you tell me to get?
