Is Yahoo! purging inactive accounts?

In the last several days, over a dozen long-time members have left my group. They never participated, and when I tried to look at their profiles, they were no longer "available." Is Yahoo! purging inactive profiles? Are any other group owners/moderators experiencing this? Thanks for your help.
