Apple iPod Refurbished help!!!!!!!!?

So I'm getting my iPod Nano refurbished since it will not turn on no matter what I do. Yet a sentence they sent me in the notification e-mail about this does not make any sense to me can any one help. Heres the sentence "Please don't ship the original to Apple in any other package, because if it is damaged in shipping as a result of improper packaging, it will not be eligible for service and will be returned to you unrepaired. Do not include any other items, such as headphones, as they will not be returned to you." PLEASE HELP.
